The Best Job Boards in 2026, By Country

11 min read·By WiseApply Editorial·

LinkedIn is the default. It is not the answer. Each country has its own dominant boards, and the niche ones often have better response rates than the big ones because there is less competition per posting. Here is the short list per market.

United States

LinkedIn and Indeed carry the most volume. ZipRecruiter does well for high-volume hourly and mid-market roles. Glassdoor is mostly browsing, not applying. For tech, Wellfound (formerly AngelList) and Built In are worth checking. Senior roles increasingly cluster on company career pages directly via Workday and Greenhouse links. Our US country page has the full list.

United Kingdom

LinkedIn and Indeed dominate, but Reed and Totaljobs carry serious volume for non-tech roles. CV-Library and Adzuna aggregate well. Otta and Welcome to the Jungle have grown for early-stage tech. See UK guide.

Australia

Seek is the dominant board, full stop. LinkedIn second, Indeed third, Jora as an aggregator. Australian Workday and PageUp portals carry the enterprise roles. Full breakdown on the Australia page.

Canada

LinkedIn and Indeed lead. Job Bank Canada is government-run and worth checking, especially for permanent residency-relevant roles. Bilingual roles in Quebec route through Jobboom and JobIllico. Canada page.

Ireland

IrishJobs.ie carries serious volume, especially for the FDI multinationals in Dublin. LinkedIn second. Recruit Ireland and Jobs.ie cover the rest.

Germany

StepStone is the dominant board. Xing is the German LinkedIn equivalent and worth a presence on. LinkedIn itself is rising fast in Berlin and Munich. Honeypot is niche for tech.

Netherlands

LinkedIn and Indeed lead. Nationale Vacaturebank and Monsterboard carry good Dutch-language volume. Recruitee and Homerun are common ATS endpoints, accessible from company sites.

France

APEC is the standard for cadre (executive / qualified) roles. Welcome to the Jungle dominates for tech and start-up. LinkedIn and Indeed for everything else. Pôle Emploi is government-run.

Spain

InfoJobs is the local default. LinkedIn second. Tecnoempleo for tech. JobandTalent dominates flexible work.

Italy

LinkedIn first. InfoJobs second. Subito Lavoro and Monster Italia are useful supplements. Adecco and Manpower carry recruiter-mediated roles.
